Milan Rifle Club

IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNOUNCES THE PASSING OF OUR VICE PRESIDENT, JOHN MILLER. HIS LOVE FOR THE CLUB IS UNDENIABLE AND HIS WILLINGNESS TO JUMP IN WITH BOTH FEET ON ANY CLUB PROJECT AND SEE IT THROUGH TO COMPLETION IS LEGENDARY. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BE AT THE CLUB AND NOT BE IMPACTED BY SOMETHING THAT JOHN WAS THE DRIVING FORCE IN GETTING ACCOMPLISHED. THE ENTIRE CLUB MEMBERSHIP WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO THANK OR SHOW OUR APPRECIATION ENOUGH TO JOHN FOR ALL HIS EFFORTS. JOHN, REST IN PEACE AND REST ASSURED THAT YOU ARE SORELY MISSED.

DUE TO CONCERNS ABOUT COVID-19 AND IN AN EFFORT TO STAY WITHIN THE GUIDELINES SET FORTH FOR THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, WE ARE NOT DOING THE NEW MEMBER ORIENTATIONS ON THE 4TH WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH AS IN THE PAST. WE ARE NOW DOING THE ORIENTATIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY SO WE CAN FOLLOW SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JOIN THE CLUB, PLEASE CALL TERRY AT 309-798-2635 TO GET THE PROCESS STARTED.

JUST AS A HEADS UP, WE WOULD LIKE THE MEMBERSHIP TO KNOW THAT THE ANNUAL MEETING (THE FIRST SUNDAY OF JANUARY) AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION MIGHT BE IMPACTED BY COVID-19 REGULATIONS. WE WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED AS THE TIME GETS CLOSER.

PLEASE SEE RULES PAGE FOR AN IMPORTANT UPDATE

Welcome to the Milan Rifle Club home page. The Milan Rifle Club was established as a private club in 1923 when Dr. WM. H. & Silence Otis donated the original 90 acres for use as a rifle range. The Range was founded on competition and friendship in a free society.

Since the beginning, the club has been associated with the National Rifle Association with a goal of providing a safe facility for its members to compete in the various shooting sports. You must be a member of the NRA in order to be a member of the Milan Rifle Club.

Membership in the Milan Rifle Club is not required to compete in formal competitions. All other use of the club facilities does require membership. You can find information about membership and an application to join the club on the Membership page.

Membership includes individuals from both the Iowa and Illinois Quad-Cities and the surrounding areas(which includes the cities of Davenport, Bettendorf, Iowa, and Rock Island, Moline, East Moline, Illinois.)

Additional information on the various disciplines/competitions can be found on their individual pages.
